When should I order Test to Release?
You will need to book your test before you travel to England. This is so you can enter details of the test when you opt into the scheme on your passenger locator form. When you order your test we will ask you for information to register the test with the UK Government.
The test must be taken after 5 full days of isolation in the UK so we are not legally allowed to send it to you prior to this date. The test will usually be despatched on your day of arrival, ready for you to take on Day 5 of isolation. The price of the test includes free delivery to your location of isolation and then onto the lab via our prepaid delivery label. You are permitted to leave your isolation to post the test.
You cannot use the Test to Release scheme if you have been in or through any country that is on the travel ban red list in the 10 days before you arrive in England.

This is a PCR swab test that tells you if you are currently infected with Coronavirus. Your results will either be ‘Positive’, ‘Negative’ or ‘Inconclusive’ (test to be retaken). If you do not have Covid-19 then it will provide you with a certificate to end your quarantine isolation.
Everything you need to carry out the test will be sent to selected address. Once you have taken your swab, it is sent to our UKAS ISO accredited lab to analyse the results, in the same way the NHS, Government and Public Health England tests are.
